The venue and dates have been finalised for our 5-Day Methodology Course in London for the 2010-11 academic year. This course proves immensely popular with delegates from all over the South East of England - and beyond! - and places are usually snapped up before the official application deadline, so we'd recommend that those keen to attend apply sooner rather than later! Due to heavy demand, our Singing Steps Workshop Programme is no longer free to schools as part of Raising Voices, the national menu of training opportunities available via Sing Up. However, schools may still take Singing Steps elements on a paid-for basis. Full details on the elements of the Singing Steps programme can be downloaded here.
A price list and application form is available to download here in Word or PDF.

We have now confirmed arrangements for our Sing Up Flagship Funded Programmes, which will take place in 4 regions around England from January 2009. These are: Herefordshire, London Borough of Havering, North Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire.
These multi-level programmes will incorporate many elements of our activities in school clusters, with the hub school receiving our full one-year in-school programme, and satellites in the cluster receiving INSET training for all staff over the year. In addition, we will be running 5-Day Methodology Courses in each region, attended by music co-ordinators from the cluster schools and others in the region, and Music Service staff. Suitable course attendees will then be selected to train as Local Advisory Teachers, to support our work in cluster schools and to introduce our in-school programme to new schools in the area. Finally, we will set up Young Voices after-school singing clubs in each region, and train teachers to run these sessions after our project has ended.

We are delighted to have been appointed a Flagship Organisation for 2008-10 with Sing Up, the Music Manifesto's National Singing Programme. Sing Up is produced by Youth Music with AMV-BBDO, Faber Music and The Sage Gateshead supported by Government, aiming to put singing back into the heart of primary schools. Sing Up Flagships are intended to help Sing Up represent, develop and disseminate best practice in singing with primary aged children. Visit www.singup.org for more information on Sing Up and the opportunities it offers to raise the profile of primary singing.
