New programmes for 2020/21!
Voices Foundation provides bespoke, flexible, whole-staff CPD training programmes for nurseries, primary and secondary schools nationwide. We can design a programme for your school that helps you to embed singing and develop your school music in the best way for you. But we understand that, as we all face a crisis like none we have ever experienced before, it helps to keep things simple. So, we are excited to announce two new programmes for the 2020/21 academic year that are ready to go:
Wellbeing Programme
Supporting wellbeing and community connection as you return to full-time school life:
The importance of musical learning and participation to children’s wellbeing and self-esteem cannot be overstated. Music has been a vital outlet for many children and young people during lockdown, and the subject has significant potential to support pupils as they return to full-time school life.
92% of teachers report children's improved concentration as a result of a Voices Foundation programme
This programme is designed to help pupils reduce anxiety and develop focus and concentration and establish a culture of celebratory whole school singing that builds community and supports pupil and staff wellbeing.
"Singing has really helped to boost my confidence. Before, I was really shy & quiet but now I feel more comfortable with myself."
-Misela, Year 6 pupil at Edward Heneage Primary Academy
Digital Programme
Providing support digitally so we can be with you no matter what happens:
We are committed to ensuring we can provide teachers with the highest quality CPDL support, no matter what. That is why we have launched our new online learning platform, Voices Connect, so we can deliver even when face to face provision is not possible.
Our new Digital Programme includes access to our Musical Foundations and Choral Essentials courses led by Sally Cathcart and Charles MacDougall as well as bespoke feedback for all participating teachers and focussed Zoom sessions for your music lead(s).
“It is great - Getting me out of my comfort zone, but in a good way!
-Teacher enrolled in Choral Essentials
*A version of this programme is also available for Music Education Hubs that can either be focussed on MEH internal staff or teachers in the MEH’s local area. The price of a MEH Digital Programme starts at £1,000.
Transform Your School with the power of music
We know times are tough, but we also know that children deserve a broad and engaging curriculum. We’re here to help schools provide the highest quality music education in the most challenging of circumstances, so that every child can benefit from the power of singing.
