One donation, twice the impact to Voices Foundation

Help us raise £25,000 as part of Big Give’s Christmas Challenge!

All donations made through Big Give’s Christmas Challenge will be doubled for a limited amount of time from midday 29th November - midday 6th December 2022.

Data collected by Voices Foundation in the 2020-21 school year, confirms that musical activity and education benefits children in many different ways – from supporting their wellbeing to improving confidence and communication skills.

  • 82% of children reported that singing made them happy.

  • 100% of senior school leaders and teachers in long-term school partnerships reported increases in pupils wellbeing, confidence, and self-esteem.

  • 97% of senior school leaders and teachers in long-term school partnerships reported increases in pupils social and communication skills.

Why donate now?

It’s a critical time for music education in the UK. The National Education Union suggests that 9 out of 10 schools will have run out of money by the next school year in part due to the cost-of-living crisis.

As a result, class music lessons and activities are at risk of being cut from the curriculum across the UK. Children are at risk of losing out on the positive benefits of music.

Voices Foundation works with schools across England, but particularly focuses on bringing music to schools serving communities experiencing disadvantage, where children may benefit more from access to high-quality music education.

How does the Big Give Christmas Challenge work?

Between midday Tuesday 29th November to midday Tuesday 6th December, Big Give will double donations made to Voices Foundation.

Through the campaign, Voices Foundation will raise funds to put singing in schools where it is needed most, so that children can benefit from music.

“We're excited to support Voices Foundation as part of Big Give’s Christmas Challenge 2022. Schools are facing increased costs and budget cuts, and by doubling donations through our campaign, Voices Foundation will be able to bring vital music education to even more schools across the country.” – Big Give
