A HUGE thank you to all our supporters who helped raise an incredible total of £25,000, as part of the Big Give Christmas Challenge!
This is an incredible amount, which will play a significant role in expanding our Singing Schools programme across England. In particular, reaching communities experiencing disadvantage and with little access to music education currently.
This year, our work has already provided over 1,300* school leaders, teachers, parents, and other education professionals with high-quality music learning experiences. In turn, this work has benefitted over 38,000* pupils in England.
As a result of the recent Christmas Challenge, your kind-hearted gift will allow us to train even more teachers and provide them with the necessary resources to get started. This could potentially lead to us helping thousands of children who would otherwise miss out on musical opportunities.
Here are some of the ways your support could make a positive impact on future pupils of a Voices Foundation Singing School programme:
“We now have music at least three times a week as the scheme allows for staff to pick up songs and teach them at any point in the day. Our motto in school is 'do less better' and Voices Foundation definitely caters to this. The pupils have gained more self-esteem and confidence. Overall, this year’s Christmas Challenge was the most successful yet for the Big Give. A combined total of over £28.6million was raised for the many charities who took part.
